What is FSSC 22000 ?

The FSSC 22000 standard focuses on certifying the Food Safety Management System of an organization. FSSC 22000 was designed to meet the needs of an international, GFSI recognized food safety scheme based on the ISO system.

The standard is based on the ISO 22000 standard, with the addition of a sector-specific Pre-Requisite Program (PRP), and some additional standards including for Food Fraud and Food Defense (bioterrorism).

My company has less than 10 staff , can I amply for FSSC 22000 ?

What is the difference between ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 ?

FSSC 22000 has two main additional benefits compared to the ISO 22000 standard. The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has recognized the FSSC 22000 Scheme through its annual benchmarking process, which results in more business opportunities for FSSC 22000 certified organizations in national and international markets.

If my organization has already been certified ISO 22000, will it be easier for us to upgrade to FSSC 22000 ?

As an ISO 22000 certified organization, it is a relatively SMALL STEP towards FSSC 22000 certification, depending on your current management system’s content and implementation level.

Does it mean that we can not be certified only by FSSC 22000 and must first be certified in ISO 22000?

You do not need to be ISO 22000 certified first to become FSSC 22000 certified, as you can also achieve FSSC 22000 certification directly. You’re free to choose!

If my organization already being certified by others certification body , can we transfer to KIWACERT ?

Yes of course, we can transfer & continue your certification with NO GAP in your certificate validity. Also , we won't charge you extra on the transfer registration.
